  • We just held a birthday dinner for our daughter and friends (20 people) in the Stone House. Sue and John were a joy to work with and the planning was easy. The room looked gorgeous with appetizers set...  more »
  • We stopped at this winery as our final stop of the day as we were told they have the most to offer and that's true. The whole experience at Augusta is really good , like I said before great view. This...  more »
  • The winery has a nature trail/sidewalk that has a pretty steep include from the lower parking lot to the winery/upper parking areas. I recommend taking it as part of the adventure. Once you are at the...  more »

  • We had a great time in the winery, even though it was pouring outside. Was not able to go outside. The service was great, they even directed us to other wineries on 94. Wines were very good and fairly priced. Very spacious venue, lots of bar space. Only wish would be if you buy several bottles they would drop the 5 dollar tasting fee.
  • I hate I even had to give this establishment 1 star... It deserves all 0's . after calling a head we were told it would be fine for our party of 10 ladies that came on a party limo... We get there and there is Employee that was a complete jerk... I would use other choice words like I did on Saturday.. But I will keep it clean. We were told we had to leave because we came in a limo... Even if our driver dropped us off and he left the parking lot that was still unacceptable! WTF really. Wow that says a lot about this winery... They allow this type of tom foolery !! Well we took our selves and the monies we were going to spend else where.. Mount Pleasant, was Awesome! Don't waste your time nor Money at Montelle!! ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ
  • On September 23, 2016 I attended the 7:00 sunset dinner. The main entrรฉe was beef, but I can't eat beef. I spoke with a very nice lady (who might have been supervisor or other management type) and she was able to procure chicken for my main entrรฉe. All my friends said the beef was excellent and be assured the chicken was absolutely delicious. I have been to Montelle Winery many times and have never been disappointed in any way. I give it 6 stars out of 5 for the great service, food and wine. Thank you to the lady, that night, and Montelle for another wonderful experience.
  • Beautiful hike in Klondike Park. We chose Montelle Winery to top off the day. We decided on 5 dollar wine tasting. Our server,Bobby, was very aloof, snooty, and stingy on the pour. Not even enough to sample, maybe half a sip worth. I graciously asked for a bit more pour of the Norton wine and guess what he did next? He took both our glasses and dumped them out. His response was he gave us Norton Reserve. This sample costs more and I suppose we weren't worth it? He was very rude. Why blame us for his mistake? And then insult us by pouring it out? Is hiking attire not acceptable at this winery? I don't understand why he had such an attitude. I don't recommend this place. To add insult to injury the choice of music was loud and decade old wedding dance songs. I bought a bottle to be courteous to the winery, but Bobby needs to take "customer service 101" I'm director of sales for a large company in downtown St. Louis.
  • If you are looking for a MO winery with spectacular views - Montelle is your place. If you are planning to host a large event - do not expect good customer service - or any service. We figured that out quickly as we dealt with Sue (The Winery Manager). As a customer - I/we never felt worse about a venue choice with the simple goal of having a fun party. Sue made everyone involved in our party set up crew feel like the winery was doing us a favor by allowing us to spend a significant amount of money at Montelle. She treated everyone as if we were employees - being managed badly - by a manager - that had obviously never been trained to manage. It was that bad. The party went on as planned but the feelings of those that took the wrath (And I mean wrath) of Sue - over the use of a fan (Yes a fan - on one of the hottest days of the year), an argument with a 70+ year old over an improper sandwich delivery time, and wine that was supposed to be chilled brought to the party spot in boxes with no ice - left with a bad taste in their mouth for Montelle Winery. I found the experience to be very sad. Sad for the owners who obviously take pride in their business. They probably did not even know this type of attitude takes place - but they know now. OK. Onwards and upwards.
