For a relatively new brewery, this place has all the thought, design, and most importantly good beer of a well established craft brew house. The building is inconspicuously a few steps off the main street in the Highlands. While it looks like an old firehouse, the tour guide will let you know exactly what it has been over the years. (hint: not a fire house). Beers can be had in flights, paying first and choosing how to spend your poker chip tokens on each 4 ounce pour. A cask option was also available for $5 (12oz pour). Very spacious upstairs tasting room has comfy couches and bright lighting, making a good stop for a group before heading elsewhere.
I really enjoyed their generally hop focused yet balanced beers. They have a tap room in the second floor and offer samples, pints, cans, and growler fills. Although not every beer on tap is available for a growler fill. I didn't seen an elevator nor wheelchair ramps. They are dog friendly as well.
All their beer is amazing. The staff is amazing. Truly cool vibe and atmosphere. wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars
I don't brew for Carton, but I would be lying if I didn't say it made me proud to be from Jersey. There are plenty of great breweries in my state, but Carton is at the top of my list. Converted from an old Methodist tent storage building, this place puts out some amazing brews. The tap room feels like your friend's living room, with good music and great beer. The staff is quick, and polite, in a Jersey kinda way. I highly suggest trying "Regular Coffee" if it's available.
It's a phenomenal craft brewery off the beaten path for some with a selection of delicious and novel brews for all occasions. Cozy taproom and friendly staff. Great place to kill some time and bring friends. Or make new ones!
