  • The Mall at Peachtree Center should be renamed the Foodcourt at the Peachtree Center because the only thing in the mall is restaurants, two souvenir shops, a sock store, and 24 hour CVS. The mall also...  more »
  • What a waste of time this place is - admittedly it is undergoing refurbishment at present, but it is dark dingy and unwelcoming. It is also half empty Clearly local go here to get fast food and nothin...  more »
  • Wow what a waste of time, but literally nothing to see or do within a couple of blocks of downtown hotels. Food choices were unappealing and over priced. Went on Saturday and almost everything was clo...  more »

  • Went to hard rock for dinner and it was a walk from the hotel. Food and atmosphere were just ok. There were a ton of birthdays so we had servers yelling and singing happy birthday every 10 seconds it seemed. Also a few weird characters hanging out outside and one tried to scream rap with obscenities with my 7 yr old looking very scared at why the man was yelling that out in public. Strange way to try and get noticed. He was terrible on top of it, no flow or content! Dude needed some practice alone where nobody can hear first.
  • The breakfast bar is very nice. The pancakes, cheese eggs, and fruits are hot and fresh. Plus the people who serve and prepare get 5 stars rating all the time.
  • Went to Benihana's, the food was great but the chef cooked the food a bit slow, but he was quite entertaining . If you're pressed for time, I wouldn't recommend this location during dinner hours. Overall, very good experience.
  • Good spot for lunch, lots of selection but can be very crowded. Best to go before 11:30 or after 1:30, though most places close after lunch, so may not be making fresh food too late.
  • A food court-style area with many restaurants to choose from. Most of the places are closed after lunch, but it's a great place to grab something during the day. Lines can be a little long, and cell phone signal is a bit spotty, but every time I've been there have been plenty of places to sit. However, if a large convention is going on at the surrounding hotels, it's best to go elsewhere.

Where to stay in Atlanta

Most of Atlanta's top hotels cluster in a downtown area with an easy-to-remember name--the Hotel District. The city's political and commercial hub, this area offers quick walking access to most major attractions. Another good area for boutique hotels and rental apartments is the ever-expanding Midtown, with proximity to most of Atlanta's big-name museums and theaters. If you're looking to save some money on accommodations, explore options in the more economical chain hotels outside downtown; from there, you can take the city's public transport to centrally located attractions and activities.
