Garden Historic Site
In 1965, a group of extraordinary women established the Forward Arts Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. These distinguished arts patrons, whose dynamic leadership was matched by their determination, transformed the carriage house of the Swan House estate into a thriving restaurant, gift shop, and gallery. Through the operation of the Swan Coach House, sale of the Swan's Palette Cookbook, the annual Fall Flea Market and other fund-raising events, the Forward Arts Foundation has realized significant funds in support of the visual arts, and has created an indelible mark on Atlanta's art landscape.

  • I brought my mom and sister to the Coach House since they were visiting from Michigan. We walked in and the linens were clean and the center pieces were these beautiful big petal roses in different colors. Such a pretty atmosphere and quiet too. The menu selection had lots of choices. I ordered the Cobb salad and their fresh brewed iced tea. It was all very tasty. The muffins they served were in all different flavors and served warm. The staff was very helpful and even gave us a tour of the event rooms upstairs for my sister. She is looking to throw a bridal luncheon for her daughter. Great experience. We toured the Swan home and that was interesting as well! They had actors about the house so it was like we were in a play. Try to visit this wonderful piece of history. You will enjoy every minute. • Lots of sugar. I attended a shower/luncheon; fixed menu. The menu doesn't have any healthy options. The frozen fruit salad was ice cream with fruit. It was our side. (I thought it was the dessert.) It was tasty, and generous portion of the frozen fruit. More sugar than I wanted, but seated at a luncheon, so I ate it. ;-(. This is the standard plate for all showers. We also had the chocolate dessert which had a base and a topping that were mostly sugar, with chocolate in the center.
  • What a lovely atmosphere! The gardens are so peaceful and relaxing. Food presentation was excellent.
  • Absolutely divine! Everything about this restaurant was beautiful. I went with my family and we loved it!
  • This was the absolute PERFECT venue to host my sister's Bridal Shower. It was a pleasure to work with the entire staff from Sanders, Kelly, Kimberly, Joby, Hannah and including the valet team. The staff was very accommodating and attend to our every need. The food was out of this world. It was definately a day that we will never forget.
