  • We had a blast at the concert. The arena still feels new to me every time I go. The food is also good here. The staff was courteous and not mean.
  • Nice place to see a show. Seats were comfortable. Lines to restrooms weren't too long if you hit them right. Liked having metal detectors at the entrance. Made you feel safe.
  • I visited the Arena twice in 2010 and was lucky to see the Hawks and the Thrashers on just one weekend. Still extremely sad, the Thrashers moved to Canada... But still following my Hawks from Hamburg Germany. The Arena is super nice.
  • Nice arena. Great for catching a game or any other type show that they have. I have attended Hawks games, the circus, a comedy show and a Marvel action show here and have never been disappointed with the facilities or staff. Being able to ride Marta to the arena also is a huge plus also.
  • I went to see the Harlem globetrotters at Philips! We loved it, it was easy to park (paid parking), but easy to find! The seats are really close together, but it's still better than Dobb stadium!

Where to stay in Atlanta

Most of Atlanta's top hotels cluster in a downtown area with an easy-to-remember name--the Hotel District. The city's political and commercial hub, this area offers quick walking access to most major attractions. Another good area for boutique hotels and rental apartments is the ever-expanding Midtown, with proximity to most of Atlanta's big-name museums and theaters. If you're looking to save some money on accommodations, explore options in the more economical chain hotels outside downtown; from there, you can take the city's public transport to centrally located attractions and activities.
