  • We didn't go to the Museum, but we take several photos of the beautiful Arc situated in a quiet residential area of Atlanta. The contrast of the arch with the modern buildings in the background is nice. Next is the small The Commons Park with its metal bridge over the Lake and a vast lawn on the shores, ideal to rest under the canopy of trees. There's no subway station, and the nearest, Arts Center Transit Station, it takes about 25 min walk. Anyone recommend car park for free at the Target of the 18th St. worth the ride!

  • Full disclosure, not ordinarily much of a museum type person and this museum in particular hasn't got much on display. However, it's size is actually a strength because the docent gave us an amazing tour with really interesting anecdotes about historical and contemporary figures, he even brought us up on the roof! I'd say it's a toss-up, if you can go when it's not busy and you can really engage with the people that run it I would recommend it otherwise I'd probably skip it since Atlanta has so many other great museums.
  • A true hidden gem in the heart of Atlanta, and very cool spot. Fascinating exhibits, which reveal much about the history of Atlanta and how we are connected worldwide.
  • Georgia history museum, very pretty venue.
