  • I enjoyed seeing the house and the gift shop was very cute and full of Gone With the Wind trinkets! The staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed direction out of Atlanta. My own personal belief is that the tour wasn't really a tour...it was more discussion and not what I expected in terms of a history lesson. It wasn't bad, but I think I would rather give myself a tour next time.
  • Not what i expected but fun. Great stop for the ultimate fan. Make sure you go to the second building. They have the orginal door from Tara and the painting from the movie. This is a short stop, dont plan your day around it. They have free tours of the home, try to catch one if you can.
  • My wife and I received free tickets from a friend and decided to visit The Margaret Mitchell House. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the life and era in history of which Margaret Mitchell created Gone With The Wind. The apartment was small and you can see why it was named "The Dump" by Margaret Mitchell. It was a nice experience to see the actual typewriter that Gone With The Wind was created. Moreover, in another building, there is the oil painting of Scarlet O'Hara from the film. If you love the book or movie, you should make the stop and visit.
  • I love gone with the wind...I was very excited about visiting the Margret Mitchell House the tour guide was very knowledgeable but all my wife kept talking about how clean the museum was,,, she asked the sodexo employee ( James ) how did he get the windows so clean ... lol he was very pleasant will be back again !
  • The tour was very informative. They give you a lot of historical facts. The museum is very well taken care of and very clean. Very much worth a trip if you're looking for interesting things to do.
