4.5
#4 of 13 in Shopping in Atlanta
The destination for Atlanta's intown culture. With market stalls to sell produce, goods, and prepared food, along with a few southern-grown restaurants and retailers, the market will offer Atlantans a gathering place of sorts.

  • The Krog street market is a neat place to visit. It's a little out from Downtown. Just a heads up, we had to pay for parking. It's worth stopping by.  more »
  • This place is generally pretty crowded but all the food and drink I've had has been really amazing. And the shopping right there also seems pretty good. Been meaning to check out the rooftop bar.  more »
  • Somewhat hard to get to without a car but the food selection was quite nice. I prefer Ponce but this is nice too.  more »

  • The most hip food court in Atlanta. Food at every vendor is really good. The bakery (Little Tart) is superb. Jenni ice cream is outstanding. I've never had a bad meal here. Parking is a challenge if you want it for free but it's worth it.
  • Good atmosphere but a few of the places can get a bit pricey. However all of the food I have tasted so far has been delicious so if you are a foodie hipster, this might be your spot. Also a nice place to take a date since wandering around perusing all the menus offers a broad opportunity to get to know bits and pieces about your dates preferences in a laid back, easy flowing manner.
  • 3 words you need to know for great food, meeting place with friends. Etc "Krog Street Market" definitely something for everyone here. My favorite Fred's. All stands are purveyors of great quality food with a local twist. Do yourself a solid and visit once. Pretty sure you will be hooked.
  • So much amazing food to choose from. Tried 3 different places and all were great. Can’t go wrong in here. Best way to describe this place would be an indoor outlet mall for food! Also lots of awesome artwork and graffiti around the area.
  • Varuni Napoli is officially our favorite pizza place! From the service, to the pizza, and even the atmosphere, this place earns every star. Luca, the owner, is very friendly and seems to enjoy talking with people. The pizza is like no other I've had. I didn't walk away feeling gross and bloated. I feel that I ate what pizza should taste like. We ate the Nonna Mia, delicious! I highly recommend the Krog Street location!

Where to stay in Atlanta

Most of Atlanta's top hotels cluster in a downtown area with an easy-to-remember name--the Hotel District. The city's political and commercial hub, this area offers quick walking access to most major attractions. Another good area for boutique hotels and rental apartments is the ever-expanding Midtown, with proximity to most of Atlanta's big-name museums and theaters. If you're looking to save some money on accommodations, explore options in the more economical chain hotels outside downtown; from there, you can take the city's public transport to centrally located attractions and activities.
