  • Our family has been to a bunch of Presidential libraries/museums so stopping here while in Atlanta was a must. Library is nicely planned with beautiful landscaped entryway. Admission was $8 for adults...  more »
  • Nice grounds and a lovely way to spend an afternoon learning about the impact of a president. The oval office replica is pretty cool!  more »
  • I enjoyed my visit to the Carter library and museum. Be sure to watch the 15 minute movie at the start of the museum, it was very informative. I honestly didn't know much about Carter's presidency and...  more »

  • Very good Presidential Museum. Smaller that many others but good sinopsis of his presidency. Beautiful grounds especially in spring. Worth the visit!
  • It's a little on the small side, but it's worth the visit for the price, $8 a ticket. A nice documentary starts you off, and then you can go and enjoy all the artifacts, plus there is a nice garden outside. A modest gift shop, but you can buy branded pencils for $.25 and postcards, so it's a good place to pick up small gifts for your friends back home.
  • Very nice, somewhat relaxed compared to the formal and grandiose scale of the Reagan library. Amazing man.
  • Beautiful place. Love it.
  • Great! Learned a lot!

Where to stay in Atlanta

Most of Atlanta's top hotels cluster in a downtown area with an easy-to-remember name--the Hotel District. The city's political and commercial hub, this area offers quick walking access to most major attractions. Another good area for boutique hotels and rental apartments is the ever-expanding Midtown, with proximity to most of Atlanta's big-name museums and theaters. If you're looking to save some money on accommodations, explore options in the more economical chain hotels outside downtown; from there, you can take the city's public transport to centrally located attractions and activities.
