My son Chris is now living in NE Washington and I was visiting him from Kentucky. This provided me and him opportunity to visit a park I had always wanted to see, Silverwood. Attended on Sunday, Sept.... read more »
Silver wood is awesome. I live 30 minutes away from it and go every summer. My advise, go on all the roller coasters!
The August day we visited, it was cool and cloudy so we only did the theme park and not the water parks. If you love thrill rides, this is the place to go. Roller Coasters and other rides to get your ... read more »
Our 6 year old daughter had a great time here. There were a good selection of "kiddie" rides for her and she was big enough to ride most of them on her own. Food is pretty reasonably priced as far as theme parks go. Having to pay $5 to park is pretty lame given the fact you're already paying quite a bit for admission to the park. The highlights for us were the train ride and the magic show. The hourly train ride fills up quickly so plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the hour. There are some skits that take place during the train ride that are fun to watch. The magic show was surprising good and well produced - well beyond our expectations. Lots of humor, both kid friendly and some wink-wink-nudge-nudge stuff only the parents (hopefully) will get.
Great price for what you get. My 8 and 11 year olds loved the rides and there were plenty to go on as a family as well. Lines were a little long but not to bad for an amusement park. It was a little chilly the day we went so the water park was a bit cold for us but the kids loved every minute of it! Would definitely go back.
We usually make it out to Silverwood every other year at the least. It's not as big as Knotts Berry Farms, or as Flashy as Disney, but it is far cheaper, and far calmer of an experience. They have some of the top coasters in the country to ride, and plenty to do for the kids. The water park is nice for a bit, and the variety shows they have really add some spice. All kinds of choice food really adds to the experience as well. For the cost of a few nights in a hotel, add in the tickets, you can have a real nice extended weekend visit. Being only 4-6 hour drive from most of the pacific northwest makes this a great weekend destination for the family.
Friendly and affordable park! Would highly recommend anyone to go, especially families. Such a beautiful location, great rides, stores, entertainment and water park. All the workers are so friendly and everything is very affordable. Any other major city theme park or major park would charge twice as much for literally everything. You can get away with $60 a pop per person with a cheap ticket online, in advance-40, all day locker-5, ice cream 5, water 2.25, Mexican meal-8. They have the best entertainment too with the train rides and fabulous magic shows, all included. Take your family today!
Fun time! -Kids loved it. A few long lines, especially at lunch area. Also, People smoking anywhere they want despite the signs of designated smoking areas, but not enforced. Otherwise it was fun day.
