  • This place has a 23 hole disc golf course which was why we visited. Very diverse course, open throws and wooded holes. Very large lake for the area, good fishing spot. They have canoe and kayak rentals. They have a few basketball courts and tennis courts. We really enjoyed are visit to this park and will definitely be back real soon
  • Sandy Creek is great. Opening a couple hours after sunrise and closing right before sunset, there's all kinds of activities to do at Sandy Creek. Their disc golf course is a little above average and takes 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Other activities include basketball courts, tennis courts, multiple playgrounds, and a lake for fishing.
  • This park is a true Athens gem. There's something for everyone here. My favorite are the private dog park rentals. I take my dog and let her run off leash, train her while off leash, and work out along side her. The staff at the park is always kind and helpful.
  • This is a must see park in Athens. It's got a beach, rental kayaks and other paddle crafts, lots of good fishing spots, a great loop trail around the lake, both public and private dog parks, disc golf, volleyball, tennis, and the scenery is beautiful. It's a steal for 2 bucks.
  • There are so many options at this spacious park. Lake Chapman is wonderful for coming off at the beach. There is a beautiful peer.plenty of places for fishing, picnics, cookouts, family photos, dogs, biking running, Possibilities are endless. Also be sure to check out the gardens. Sandy creek nature center is just down the road.
