  • I had no idea that making ice cream was so ... boring. The premises was spotlessly clean and the workers take their job VERY seriously. But there is simply not much to it!  more »
  • Great place to see how milk and ice cream is packaged. History of the dairy is interesting. Staff in the gift shop and giving the tour were friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent ice cream afterward. Go on the 10 am tour, then bring your lunch and relax in the great courtyard. :)
  • Very informative! The tour is $4.50 and includes a free sample of ice cream. A great way to get the kids out of the house for a few hours and enjoy some fantastic ice cream.
  • Great place for field trips. We had fun when we went. There are lots of children's activities and learning things about cows.
  • Was a very good experience and would recommend taking the children or just going with friends or by yourself. If possible I would try going during the week while production is running to see all the machines alive and active. It is like any other corporate factory tour, it give you the rich history of May field, and will let your roam freely about the gift shop, and when its your time for the tour they will take you to a room to see the introduction to Mayfield film. Where they will also pass out hairnets for the factory tour. The tour itself is amazing, and the tour guides are very very knowledge about the plant, the processes, and the history. The tour itself is 4$ per person, but that is really to cover the cost of the free Ice cream they provide at the end. Its a great place to take the kids for a short and sweet tour and a fun thing to do on the weekend. Would highly recommend!
  • Great your even though you can't take pictures on the tour. Must West hair bets over all hair and facial hair. Ice cream afterwards seems to be more than one scoop. Worth the $4.50 for the tour. Tour guide that we had was awesome and the staff styed a little after closing to make sure everyone got what they wanted from the store and their ice cream.
