Friendly hard-working staff, great food and the brews that are spot-on. The sense of buildings' history is both well preserved and contemporary. The (albacore tuna)fish & chips was delicious. Restaura... read more »
I can't comment on the other food, only the pizza that we've had and it was excellent! We ordered the sausage pizza with house-made spicy Italian sausage (wonderful) and sweet red peppers...wow! Servi... read more »
This place had great food, huge portions and awesome beer. Only thing that I wasn't completely feeling was the super dim lighting, but we ended up there at the odd hour of just pre-twilight when resta... read more »
Great experience! Kudos to all who took care of us. It was clear to me that taking great care of your guests is a priority. The young woman who sat us took note of the fact that my father- in-law is older and not very mobile. She did her best to find a comfortable place for him. Then when he ordered a "corona" the server brought a small selection for him to choose from. The albacore tune fish and chips was great and my husband enjoyed his fish tacos. The only thing that might top the service was the Bacon Jam! Delish :D Way to go Fort George, we came for the beer and can't wait to return
This is one of my favorite places in Astoria. The pizza upstairs is simply the best that I have had in North America (and that includes Chicago but doesn't include New York). The beer is great, and even though I am too old to be a hipster, I enjoy hipster watching. The atmosphere and energy are enjoyable. Burger Wednesday (also upstairs ) is pretty cool, too.
I am very disappointed in the service I have received the last few times I have been in. The beer is good, and the food is decent but the service is terrible. I wish there would be at least one area where kids weren't allowed. What is this new trend where people bring their kids to a place that is known for it's beer. I sat most of the night next to a 8-10 year old girl that didn't seem to have any supervision. I will not be going back, there are so many other places in Astoria with better beer and Much better service. I recommend the bouy.
Excellent food! The BLT was delicious. Our server told us the jerk chicken was his favorite. It was perfect. The house fries were also very good. Kid friendly. My niece wanted to mention that the ketchup is natural and really really good.
Does this need a rating? You should just go an be blown away. Best beer on the left coast. Really the world when you think about the state of craft beer. Just had a keg aged stout at their separate Taproom (beer VIP room), best stout I've ever had. People who rate it one star down here you can ignore cause you can be sure they're voting for Trump anyway. Gooooooooooooooooooo now! Cheers
