The walk itself is paved and flat - so it's very easy to stroll along. You'll find old crumbling wharves, plus old buildings that have been converted into new restaurants & shops. The walk goes right ... read more »
This a long paved path along the Columbia River front. Not only is this a long and scenic walk but it also takes you along historic cannery buildings. Most of the buildings have been converted to othe... read more »
We loved seeing the hundreds of sealions. They were swimming, sprawled out on the rocks and the docks, jumping in and out of the water, and constantly barking, squawking, and looking like they were ar... read more »
Made my reservations online thinking, by their internet description, this would be much nicer hotel than described. I always attempt to give the "locals" an opportunity to earn by business before going to the larger corporate names. It felt like I drove through a salvage yard to get there. As soon as I opened the car door we got this overwhelming smell of fish. We checked in with great apprehension. Their description of "understated rooms" was an over statement. The room had an odd odor we couldn't describe, neither nightstand lights functioned, couldn't get any stations on the TV (cable or satellite wasn't working). HORRIBLE!! The salt in the wound was that I was being charged almost $190.00 for this "room"!! If I was paying $69 - $79 a night for this room I may have stayed. A $69.00 - $79.00 price-point is more appropriate for what you're getting here. They should proclaim to be the "value-priced" hotel in Astoria this way there is some truth in their advertising. I'm surprised there are reviews with ratings higher than 2 stars, but if those folks had a better experience than I did, good for them, I unfortunately did not. I wish the folks at Astoria Riverwalk Inn the very best as they work to make some needed improvements. To their credit, I asked to cancel the reservation with a full refund and they obliged.
Best place in Astoria to stay. Every room has a view of the Marina. Easy aces stop the Marina as well. Great hot and fresh breakfast made Daily. Clean rooms and super friendly staff. I won't stay at any other hotel in Astoria after staying here. They have 4 "Theme Rooms" I've stayed in 1 the cannery room and it was done very well. The other rooms are nice as well with a standard setting but the overall stay is A+.
We stayed here over the weekend. The hotel is outdated, dusty, and old. There were spiderweb all over the balcony. The shower was working correctly. The worst part to staying here was THE BED BUGS we found in our bed! They bite my feet, thank the lord, they didn't bite my son who was sleeping on the bed we found them on!!! The hotel front desk lady let us change rooms but I didn't sleep because I was so paranoid and grossed out by the previous room. It was 11:30 pm so leaving was an option... I will NEVER go back to this place. Not worth $120 we paid. We never got an apology from management. They didn't even give us a discount t for our VERY BAD experience. Stay away from Room #254. Js.
The room was nice and clean. Our waterfront view was unbeatable. There was ample parking and it's a perfect proximity from downtown Astoria and from Seaside. Staff was helpful with recommending attractions and local places to eat.
We loved our stay here. Incredible views of the harbor with a balcony to enjoy it. The king bed room was wonderful with comfy chairs and beds.
