Lithia Park, Ashland

4.7
#Nature / Park, #Must See
In the middle of Ashland, Lithia Park houses a forest growing along a stream. The area's high concentration of lithium oxide inspired the name of the park. Duck ponds and a Japanese Zen garden make this place particularly peaceful. There are playgrounds, tennis courts, and an ice skating rink in the winter. The park is fenced and is very dog friendly. • Very nice park. historically it prevented urban sprawl which would surely have changed the village. Lithia Park is equally suited for walkers, runners, bikes and cars.  more »
  • Not a City park by no means. Such beauty and serenity. A must do when in Ashland. Just a great place to walk or sit and collect your thoughts.  more »
  • Fun Creek/River walk in Lithia Park. The hiking level at least where we walked was fairly easy. Nice scenery.  more »

  • Love this park hot or cold! It has a nice Trail lots of scenery and good for any age. Lots of Pokemon stops if you are into that. And just a nice place to find yourself. It also has places to park, bathrooms and a playground or two for the little ones.
  • Love the hikes and scenes. A great reprieve from the "city" and feel more settled in nature. There's is a decent hike loop through the park past a pond, a playground, restrooms and river! Keep an eye out for a small owl that likes to hide on some dead tree spurs!
  • I love this park. One of my favorite places to hike in Ashland. Right above downtown is a hidden wonderland of beauty. They have a incredible collections of trees in the park and walking alone the trail listing to the little waterfalls along the creek is every so relaxing and peaceful. This really is one of the Gems of Ashland and everyone who visits should take time out of their trip to go for a short hike up the park! You will not regret it!
  • This is a beautiful park. BUT they do not allow Dogs! I came here to walk my dogs but could not go anywhere in the park. I have never seen so many "animals prohibited" signs in my life. What a bummer.
  • Huge park with a lot of trails for hiking. Perfect for family days or days you just need to get away. One of my favorites in southern Oregon!
