Lithia Park, Ashland

4.8
#1 of 25 in Things to do in Ashland
Nature / Park
In the middle of Ashland, Lithia Park houses a forest growing along a stream. The area's high concentration of lithium oxide inspired the name of the park. Duck ponds and a Japanese Zen garden make this place particularly peaceful. There are playgrounds, tennis courts, and an ice skating rink in the winter. The park is fenced and is very dog friendly. Put Lithia Park and other Ashland attractions into our Ashland trip itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Just to stroll and enjoy quiet time in nature. The park is beautiful. It's definable worth going. Even my teenage daughters enjoyed the stroll.  more »

  • Near the Shakespeare Festival with great trails for walking and grassy areas for picnics (picnic tables too). Part of the Ashland experience. We were treated to cello in the park. You may also run into some of the festival's performers.
  • The Beauty, it's a spectacular park, family oriented, there is Always something cultural happening, and the people are very friendly. The residence's that border the park are Fabulous and add to the ambience of the park. Without a doubt Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon is one of the Most Beautiful parks that I have ever visited in the U.S. Come see for yourself and I'm Sure you WON'T be Disappointed.
  • This park has everything. A great playground with shade for kids, forest hiking, a creek running all the way through it that kids can play in , places to sit and eat or do sporting activities, and where the Shakespeare festival is held. I just wish they allowed dogs.
  • Amazing city park as diverse as it's locals. Easy walking through many interesting botanical areas and a creek and pond.
  • To many rules and regulations. Signs everywhere.......No animals, no bikes, no drums, no sleeping, no this, no that. Police and park narks everywhere. Seems like a place for blue-haired Shakespeare goers to snap a quick pic and then move on......No thanks!
