  • I thought the beer was great. I really like the tap room and outdoor area. But was very annoyed that they refused to give me a flight of beer because it wasn't efficient on a busy day (Saturday). Real...  more »

  • I enjoyed this place so much a year ago. They have fun games (Jenga with 2x4’s, anybody?), but the beer just tasted so-so this time. I didn’t enjoy half the ones in my flight (which that’s personal pr...  more »

  • Pros: Beer was delicious and exceeded expectations. I especially enjoyed the ESB, which is not normally a favorite style. Lots of taps on offers with varied styles. Cool location with table tennis and other games. Cons: I paid with a $50 and received change for a $20. When I noticed this, the bartender was unsurprised at her mistake. Therefore, I am about 90% certain she was attempting to pocket the difference and scam me out of $30. Can't be sure, of course, but keep an eye on your cash nonetheless. Otherwise, this would be a 5-star review.
  • Very slow for a Friday night so you would expect timely service... not the case at Twin Leaf. Our group stood at the bar for 15 minutes while the bar tender didn't even glance in our direction... and the wait staff stood talking across the bar. Very unhappy and disappointed!
  • Not slammed on a Friday night, variety of fun board games, which makes me feel like I'm doing something more productive than just pounding beers.
  • Lord Stanley's Irish Dry Stout is so tasty. The 90's hip hop that is played on Friday and/or Saturday night is also a fun touch.
  • Drinking your way through Asheville can become a little bit of a blur (or drunken haze). A lot of the breweries and tap rooms have the same, warehouse, hipster vibe complete with Edison lights and an industrial motif. After a couple of beers, the flavor of a beer has to be exceptional (or egregiously bad) to standout. Twin Leaf hits that mark. I opted for a pint of the Elevenses which was unlike any other beer I have ever tasted. It sets a standard for taste and character that will be tough to top. Besides the pint, the brewery offers a clean, comfortable, and approachable space filled with board games, a variety of table games, and a gigundo Jenga set. This place would be awesome for a first date!
