  • Went here on a whim, and glad that we did. My family enjoyed touring this house more than the Biltmore! Aside from *not* being squeezed between velvet ropes with countless other tourists (unlike Biltmore), our guide really brought alive the history of the house. I've never even read anything by Thomas Woolfe, and I still found it very fascinating. Highly recommend it.
  • Our guide was one of the best guides ever. His name I don't remember but he was a young brown haired guy. He spent a lot of time making My grandson very comfortable. He colored pictures with him and he gave him a scavenger hunt book...that kept his attention.
  • The Wolfe house itself is interesting and well kept with many pieces from the Wolfe family. Much of the original decor and device remains in the house, which is pleasant temperature-wise year round. Our guide was knowledgeable and seemed greatly interested in the Wolfe family and their history. We enjoyed the museum, though I would have liked to learn more about the historical significance of the town and family. The shop was neat with Thomas Wolfe books and books about the area, time, and author.
  • Interesting tour, recommend if looking for historical info on Thomas Wolfe, watch Genius the next day, made the Movie much more interesting.
  • Small museum. Great tour information.
