  • This is a pleasant walk through the past and close to a nice amphitheater. Fun to look at the graves of such famous contemporary American writers.
  • This was a highlight of a recent family visit. We took the Thomas Wolfe house tour and then came to the cemetery to visit his family gravesite.
  • We saw this cemetery while on a Segueway tour. It is a historic cemetery (Thomas Wolfe, Gov. Vance are buried there), It is still "in use" so be respectful of funerals in progress.
  • This place is super chill.
  • This is truly a gem tucked away in downtown Asheville. It is a very peaceful and meditative experience no matter what time of year you go. I love to visit on a sunny weekday afternoon, if it's hot bring water because it is hilly.
  • Any disrepair is of the respectful southern Gothic charm kind.
