Where to stay in Asheville

To take advantage of the best Asheville has to offer without breaking the bank, stay at one of the city's small motels, many of which offer free breakfast buffets and plenty of secure parking. Asheville's historical district contains most of the city's bed and breakfasts, allowing you to stay within a short walk of downtown shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area also boasts numerous budget-friendly hostels, offering inexpensive private rooms for backpackers. • We have visited museums with less content than this gallery. It's very diverse and multi level with high quality items.  more »

  • We are so fortunate to have this amazing gallery in Asheville. This place carries some of my favorite local artists, like Robert Johnson, as well as an amazing selection of other modern artists in diverse mediums, including paintings, ceramics, wood, and glass. There are three floor and multiple galleries to check out so give yourself plenty of time to browse. This has got to be one of the premier galleries in the USA so don't miss it.
  • Beautifully curated gallery, with fine art, glass, metal. It is always a treat to see such fine American artists.
  • Three floors of high quality arts with new artists and works featured once a quarter or so. I visit about four times a year and am always delighted. There's a wide range of mediums: screenprints, woodcuts, photographs, quilts, watercolor, sculpture, glass, ... it's so easy to spend an hour breathing it all in.
  • Fantastic gallery for a town like Asheville. They do an amazing job of showcasing regional artist that can completely hold their own on a national stage. Always a great mix of creative expression and most of their artists are very reasonably priced. I've been visiting this gallery for almost 20 years and I've never been disappointed.
  • Its huge, youre bound to find a style and artist that interests you.
