Lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues, Asbury Park Boardwalk is one of the epicenters of activity for the world-famous New Jersey coast. Stretching about 0.6 km (1 mi) along the Atlantic Ocean, the wooden walkway has been largely responsible for the surrounding city's growth as a vacation destination since the turn of the 20th century. Wander along the beach to take in the sights and sounds of the sea, peek into stylish art galleries, or simply grab a bite at one of the many restaurants along the strip. Be sure to check online schedules for the many concert halls in the area, which frequently host big-name performances; the Stone Pony is one of the United States's most famous venues. Asbury Park Boardwalk reviews
We walked the Asbury Park Boardwalk on our trip to NJ and really enjoyed it. The beach was beautiful! Just wished there were more places open.

My happy place!!! 😊😊😊😊 I've been to a countless number of East Coast beaches, big and small and none compare to the way I feel when I am at Asbury Park. This is truly the place where down the shore, everything is alright. Asbury Park is magical. A sweet spot suspended somewhere between past and present where life can be simple and dreamy. The boardwalk is a place where history sustains and the future is bright. The boardwalk and beach are very clean. Lots of parking but beware the Parking Enforcement -they've pinched me a couple times for expired meters. You can walk everywhere is Asbury. It is a family friendly 👪, inclusive 🌈 and safe ✌ place. The boardwalk has a great variety of eateries. Also lots a fun shops. The Convention Hall, The "Casino" and The "Carousel Building" are architectural landmarks along the Jersey Shore. Landmarks like The Stone Pony, The Wonder Bar, Asbury Lanes, Deal Lake, the paddle boats and Ocean Grove are short walks away. And asides from the beach, the boardwalk has activities -mini golf, a splash park, retro arcade and palm readings. Asbury holds a special place in my heart and after a visit I'm sure you'll find it special too.
Not bad when you have an ocean view. Small boardwalk but some cool old world architecture and art. The mall is cool again the old world is great. I would say some work is needed and this place can be amazing. Some restorations are needed to preserve the carousel. Looks like some stuff in the works and looks like they are expanding. I hope they make major changes for the preservation of this gem of a coastline. I will be back.
This is definitely the place to go for a great family outing. The beaches are clean. The water is clear. The boardwalk has a variety of ethnic foods from which to choose, i.e. Italian, Cuban, Korean, etc. Prices are high, but that is the case throughout the state right now. Playground on the beach for children. Small water park on the boardwalk. Miniature golf. There's even an old-fashioned arcade. If you decide to go into town there are many shops that feature unique clothing, home decor, etc. It gets really crowded on weekends so arrive early. I highly recommend!
Cool, independent vibe. Very dog friendly especially in the off season. We don't feel like walking wallets here which we always appreciate. Great selection of bars and restaurants.
Very small low key boardwalk with great food options. I like how it doesn’t get super crowded especially on weekdays. Note, this is not a family orientated or kid friendly boardwalk per say. I would suggest Point Pleasant instead for that. But I love coming here as a 20 something.
