  • Have been going to the Apex for many years. With teens as they grew up. On our own to exercise and now with our 2 year old granddaughter. Love the kids pool, changing rooms and the exercise equipment.
  • We've been coming here as a family since it was built. The indoor swimming is one is the best I've ever been too! It's also a great place for kids B day parties. Lots to do, rock climbing, work out. C...  more »
  • They have it all, from 2 ice rinks, basketball, swimming, water park to a skate park and gym. Fabulous thing to have in Arvada, to bad more communities cannot afford something this great.

  • I love the free indoor playground. Its a great place for my school aged child and toddler to run off energy in the same place
  • My family loves this Rec center namely the pool. My kiddo loves to play in the kids area and we've had great instructors for swimming lessons.
  • Disclaimer: I only use the swimming lanes at the Apex Center. The Apex Center is a huge complex with many areas, such as pools, ice skating rinks, and a gym. The staff is friendly and polite and can handle some of the most impolite guests admirably. The swimming pools are nice, spacious, and rarely full. They also have nice play pools and slides and I fondly remember playing on them as a kid. The water in the lap pools, however, is unusually warm and lifeguards seem to have trouble keeping the kids away. Overall a nice center, and I'll keep going swimming on the weekends.
  • The Apex has a great water-park and excellent basketball courts. Prices are reasonable and the staff are easy to work with and can answer any questions. They also have indoor ice-skating rinks along with a full workout gym and private rooms for drop-in classes.
  • Visited with my four year old and six month old. The aquatics area is nice with a big central play area for small children. The other pools also appeared to be fun, but were deep enough that my daughter couldn't stand in them. Very fun place. We also visited the free indoor playplace which was great, too! Good way to spend some time on a cold Colorado day.
