Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington

(3.7/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
The first Six Flags theme park, Six Flags Over Texas boasts over 35 amusement rides. Thrill seekers should head to the mighty Texas sky screamer or Titan roller coaster to experience speeds of 137 km/h (85 mph) and a 78 m (255 ft) drop. Children and the less adventurous can enjoy the swinging ship, log flume, and spinning teacups. You can take a break from the rides at one of the park’s live entertainment shows. Dining options include American fare, international cuisine, healthy options, and amusement park classics. Lines can be long, but flash pass holders have much shorter waiting times. • Very packed, and the lines were far too long for us so we didn't really take any rides, though some of them did look really good. However we did watch some holiday in the park shows which were alright...  more »
  • Defnitivamente lo que más vale la pena de este parque son las montañas rusas. El tema es que el horario entre semana y en alguna temporadas es reducido por lo que no te da timepo de recorrelo con calm...  more »
  • If you like Christmas lights, as well as other decorations, I highly recommend Holiday in the Park, at Six Flags over Texas. Every year, they decorate with more lights than I have ever seen in one pla...  more »

  • It's fun and has been a go to entertainment place for my family for over 30 years. The season pass and dining passes are great. The reason I give it 3 stars is that it could use a face lift. The new rides are great and shiny and new, but the park could use a freshening up as a whole. Some fresh paint and cosmetic repairs in the off season would make a world of difference to the appearance of the park. Some areas just kinda look sad and old. I wish they would take a cue from their sister park in San Antonio. Fiesta just typically looks cleaner and brighter. Overall, it's a great park and I will continue to take my family there. I just feel they would have better reviews, etc if the park got a bit of a makeover.
  • Got the membership and dining deal this year, and so far we have had a blast. Fright Fest was awesome, the kids loved it. Food is OK, but you have to wait a bit sometimes. Nice variety of rides with something for everyone. Titan does not have good head support for taller folks like me, my neck still hurt three days later. That drop is insane. I'm sure we'll have loads of fun at Six Flags & Hurricane Harbor this year!
  • Went to Fright Fest on Saturday Oct. 1st and the park was packed. Long line of cars just to park but died down after 8:30. All rides over an hour wait after 8 pm. Food lines were just as long. Been here plenty of times with no complaints as food and drink prices are expected to be high, and I expected it to be crowded. Smart phones make waiting in lines easier than years past.
  • Six Flags was so much fun and exciting and scary (Riddler was so scary for me). There is something for just about everyone here even for all ages just about! They were hosting a private party so it wasn't really crowded at all. We met some really nice people while we were there! We didn't have any bad experiences the whole time we were there!! I loved seeing our boys smiling, having fun and being happy. But the best thing about the day to me was being able to spend it with my family and a new friend(Britney)!! Hugs & Kisses to my hubby & our 3 sons!! Love y'all!!!
  • Bring your own food. Go back to the car, eat at the picnic area in the lot. It would be better, faster, and cheaper. The food and staff at the vendors inside are horrible. We waited over an hour in line for pizza and burgers and finally gave up. Couldn't possibly be worth it. 1 in 3 people came back inside to complain about their order or get it fixed, which only slowed things down more. Manager gave us the "There's nothing I can do" line citing a small staff but 2-3 workers (kids) would gather for every order or complaint and none of them know what to do. The rides were fun but also understaffed and resulted in long lines with still empty seats on the rides. Fitting end to my review comes while waiting 20 minutes for a tram to come. We're giving up and walking to the lot.
