  • The"Nederlands Carillon" is an original construction that is worth visiting, the bells of the carillon are housed in nearly 40 m from the ground, his Bumblebee weighs a little more than 5 tons. The summer we can listen to its 50 bells in action do not hesitate to extend your visit to Iwo Jima Memorial 100 m enjoy the panorama on Washington

  • When visiting the Iwo Jima Monument, the Carillon is really to close not to go check out. Don't know if they ever open the stairs on it, but the view would be awesome if they did. Go to this site to s...  more »
  • It is certainly not the main attraction of the city, but if you're in the vicinity and you have some time in advance, a visit is not to be excluded

  • One of the ugliest monuments in DC. It's in a great spot, and I mean no disrespect to the people of the Netherlands but it is hideous and decrepit.
  • The Carillon, given by the Dutch to say thank you to the American nationa and people is once again in dire need of a restoration. If nothing is done over the next two years, it will probably fall apart. Which would be a pity.
  • Best ground level view of DC - the tourbuses drive by here every day for the view, if you walk up near the Carillon, you'll get an even better one!
  • There are much more nice things around then this one
  • The Netherlands Carillon is a short walk from the US Marine Corps War Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery and it offers some amazing views in to Washington, DC. If you're in to photography then be sure to visit in the spring when the tulips are blooming.
