The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington

Reverence, respect, honor and sacrifice. Only a few of the words and emotions this place evokes. The officers and enlisted men and women of the 3rd Regiment, "The Old Guard", and especially the members of the Honor Guard which remain ever vigilant at the site of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, are perhaps our nation's most visible reminder of all of the emotions and feelings mentioned above. The men I observed during the "changing of the guard ceremony", demonstrated precision, discipline and dedication. The observers on hand in the gallery remained respectful and appreciated the demonstration by the Honor Guard. When in D.C., Arlington National Cemetery must be on your list to visit.

It was a nice experience. The changing of the guards is good to see. I thought it was a whole show, but it's just the one guard changing off to another but still nice to see. You must be quiet to show respect. The dome is breathtakingly beautiful. I would suggest taking the trolley because it's a good 20 minute walk up hill to get to it. Bathrooms are located at the dome off to the right.

What an amazing experience. Great place to come, visit and pay your respects to those who sacrificed for our country. People who come here should be very respectful and behave accordingly. What an honor it was to visit the Tomb. The Tomb of the Unknown soldier is a monument dedicated to the deceased members of our military who have served our country. They deserve the utmost honor and respect.

Nice D/C. The pride of showmanship of the United States Army. I would say the center view area would be the best location for the experience if you can endure the sun burning through the atmosphere upon your flesh. On this date it seem more robotic than natural movements. Hopefully on your date the soldiers wont seem to be as tense. But good show none the less.

Nothing but humility and respect for the nameless soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. And to the unwavering guards who protect the tomb and resting places of the unknowns, GOD BLESS YOU! I did not need to complain about living in the heat(wave) especially when I witnessed these fully uniformed men march back and forth without ceasing or complaint for 30 minutes. A blessed experience.
