Landscape Arch, Arches National Park
(4.8/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Landscape Arch is the longest of the many natural rock arches located in the Arches National Park in Utah, USA. The arch is among many in the area known as Devil's Garden in the north area of the park. It was named by Frank Beckwith, leader of the Arches National Monument Scientific Expedition, who explored the area in the winter of 1933–1934, and can be reached by short walk/hike of about 1.5 miles along a maintained trail. The Natural Arch and Bridge Society (NABS) now considers the Landscape Arch to be the second longest natural arch in the world, having measured the span in 2004 at 290.1 ± 0.8 feet (88.4 m), which is slightly longer than a measurement made by the Society in 2006 of Kolob Arch in Zion National Park. Since 1991, three slabs of sandstone measuring 30, 47, and 70 feet long have fallen from the thinnest section of Landscape Arch, prompting the Park Service to close the trail that once passed beneath it.

  • Landscape Arch is not visible from the road. It is located in "Devil's Garden", an area of fin-shaped red rock formations and slot canyons at the end of the Arches National Park scenic drive (18.4 mil...  more »
  • Taking a beautiful walk along the Devils Garden you reach this thin arch. Landscape Arch is the longest natural arch in the world (about 88 meters). His modest thickness suggests that the remaining life is not high, considering the continuous action of wind and water. Not to be missed.

  • This is a very popular arch to visit even though the trail is a little rough. Since a large rock fall (geologically recent) you can no longer get close to the arch so you might not be able to get the ...  more »

  • An iconic arch. But keep going up the trail to double arch and Dark Angel. That is where is gets really cool.
  • It's worth the short hike to see this arch. At one point you were able to walk up to it. Then, pieces of it it fell away so it is now fenced off.
  • Even though it's hard to get a good perspective, this arch is absolutely impressive. The walk towards it is beautiful as well.
  • It's very easy to access and great. You just need to park a car at the parking lot and walk a little bit. It's incredibly long and stunning. But you can't be closer to the arch. Only thing we can do is taking picture and we can take a good picture of it because it's huge. As I told you, this arch is easy to access but others around it are kind of hard and dangerous. Prepare well if you want to go further.
  • Beautiful trail and spectacular arch. A must see
