  • While I cashed only a couple of tickets out of a full day of betting, it was money well spent. This track is spectacular, as beautiful to attend as Keeneland in Kentucky. Be sure to walk the grounds a...  more »
  • You don't have to wait for the Kentucky Derby to enjoy a day at the racetrack with family and friends. Kids enjoyed it too as we watched the horses get prepped and race. Beautiful surroundings and his...  more »

  • Having literally grown up at Santa Anita, there is no place I'd rather be. Truly one of the most beautiful racetracks anywhere, it entertains you with many of the best race horses in the world and a colony of top riders. Food and drinks cost a bit more ( you are in a captured venue) but certainly aren't any more than other entertainment venues. Get the carved sandwiches!!! If you're new to the game, download some free horse picks off the Internet, buy a program for about $2 when you walk in so you can follow the action and be sure to check out the various places so you understand how it all comes together ( the paddock/saddling area, the walking ring). We prefer paying the clubhouse entry fee versus that of general admission as it's closer to the finish line and it's also just a wee bit nicer than the general admission areas. With a handstamp you can go in and out of the area. We always check out the store too just to see what's available. Santa Anita, we love you! Keep the great memories coming.
  • The most beautiful setting for a racetrack. Went for the Breeder's Cup and was pleased with the relatively short lines despite the large number of people. Parking was only $10. The food options were good- especially on the infield.
  • Great park for horse racing! Surrounded by hills looks very pretty! Hosting Breeder's cup for several years and well maintained race course. Enjoy!
  • Took the girlscouts to meet Seabiscuit the racing Horse. .we had a blast. Everyone is so friendly
  • Fun times! It can be a cheap way to spend the day, with bets on horses! Stopped by their sandwich shop, which was flat out amazing (little pricey).
