  • We attended the Kentucky Derby #139 and the run down facility, which had a sewer flood and ran out of food at 1 p.m. absolutely stunk (we reviewed that at length, what a disappointment). KD at Churchi...  more »
  • Santa Anita is a very nice racetrack in an absolutely wonderful setting! It does show it's age a bit & could use a bit of an update to seating but go! It's large & lovely!  more »
  • Went for Gold Cup and had a nice table at the finish line in the Frontrunner. Great service and good food and drink, Walked around as the history in front of the paddock and grandstand is very special...  more »

  • Watching horse racing is so much more fun in person. The park is great to go hang out and have a drink on the weekend while enjoying the prowess and beauty of horses. Santa Anita is chock full of history too, definitely a good place to check out when you are off the beaten path of SoCal treasures.
  • First time here and it was a great day at the track, even if I didn't come out ahead. Box seats are only around $15 on weekends. Self Parking $4, easy walk to gate, Tons of parking. Valet is $10. Buy a program for $2.50 on the way in. Club and Box seats are in the shade. Attire was everything from shorts to resort wear to sport coats. Good people watching to. Although the food and alcohol is very expensive, it is also good, with great options like the hand carved sandwiches (I would return just to have that for lunch). They also had stands in an air conditioned area for pasta, tacos, hotdogs and more. There were 9 races Sunday. Each about 30 min apart. Service was excellent and very friendly about helping out, even first time betters like myself today. Don't be intimidated, you can even bet $1-$2 if you are risk adverse.
  • I went to Santa Anita park for Mother's Day with my fiance. Overall, the experience was nice, there was a great selection of food and drinks along with a clean venue and friendly staff. The one thing I would suggest is to have the seating path for club members clearly labeled. My fiance and I walked around for about 20 minutes looking for the club seating and were given conflicting directions by various members of the staff. Other than that, it was a nice experience which I would gladly repeat!
  • Great day out whether or not you like to gamble. Avoid if horse racing isn't your thing, obviously. But it's a beautiful track set in front of the San Gabriel mountains. Can be an inexpensive day trip if you don't bet big.
  • Nowhere like it in America. Remarkable view. Breakfast at Clockers not to be missed. Rub elbows with the greats, too!
