  • This place is definitely a hidden gem. I visit periodically because I live in the area, and I'm always amazed at how such a big recreation space is so close to the city of Appleton. The hiking trails a...  more »
  • We were at Bubolz Nature Center with two of our grandkids this week (mid-February) on a beautiful sunny day, to do some hiking. As we were going down the trail, our granddaughter spotted a geo-cache a...  more »
  • An excellent place to cross country ski, a great place to take a walk and be surrounded in nature yet is only a stones throw outside of Appleton. The only downside is that no dogs are allowed.  more »

  • Nice trials and lots of options but the scenery gets repetitive. Still a nice place to take a hike or cross country ski.
  • Nice natural place for a hike or xc skiing. No bikes or pets allowed. $2/person suggested donation. Several different trails to choose from makes it easy to do a a short hike, long hike, or anywhere in between.
  • I am sure it is nice for families with older kids but I went in late April when the ground was a little soft with my kids in a double stroller. The whole back half is pretty much mud with small logs and branches laid across it at place to help you through the mud. Far from stroller friendly.
  • We are professional photographers that pay a fee to use the beautiful grounds of Bubolz! We love the trails, cabin and pond. We appreciate the wonderful staff allowing us to us their grounds. Its a safe place for families with small children, no crazy traffic. LOL. I simply love Bubolz! It seems like a big family organization. Its awesome to photograph in ALL 4 season! Kudos to Bubolz! - Heidi lee
  • Great Cross country ski trails, friendly staff and price is right on rentals. Frankly if you have a family or are a couple it's a good deal to buy a membership for free skiing, and deals on special events all year! Our boys "grew up" at Bubolz learning about nature and later running the trails with us. Awesome! Question for the staff, can you put the trails on "Map My Run" please? Also the lengths listed don't seem real accurate but maybe I am unsure about where to start for each of them.
