  • We have camped here twice now. It's a beautiful place and the campground is better than average. Camp sites are far apart, so you have more privacy. (Though it also means a longer walk to the bathroom...  more »
  • We went bike camping to big bay. Nice remote place away from everyone. Beautiful park with some of the clearest water we've seen. At night we could see so many stars. Quite breathtaking.  more »
  • I hadn't been back since 2015. The water wasn't as clear and blue on the day we went due to the oncoming rain, but the hike was still fantastic. There are easy trails and we took the ones near the roc...  more »

  • Use to own 10 acres of Madiline Island at the end of Hagins Rd. It's a great place to visit during the summer months, great place for the whole family, and very beautiful during any season for photographers.
  • Great paths and a well kept park. Beautiful place.
  • Some of the most picturesque trails of any park. Great Beach area but not for the faint of heart. The water as you would expect is quite chilly. It's been a favorite of our family for years.
  • Not really big enough to be charging state park fees. The management of the park is not very good. There's one super easy hiking trail with a few good views along the lake, but that's pretty much it.
  • Scouted here last weekend in hopes of camping extensively. Campground was typical, fairly close to neighbors but clean and organized. Super bummed there are no water views from anywhere in the campground. You can hike to see the water but when you are camping it is like camping anywhere else in the forest.
