  • Some of the best hiking we've experienced so far. All levels of hiking here at this park. We took the Treasure Loop Trail which is 2.4 miles long and did it in 1hr 46 minutes. Moderate to hard rated t...  more »

  • We spontaneously stopped at this park while on the Apache Trail. Glad we did! Great hike on the Treasure Loop, good climb and lots of desert scenery. Perfect little stop on the way to Tortilla Flats.  more »

  • It is a very nice campground. The only thing we didn't like is that the C loop doesn't have a restroom and shower. In order to use the shower you need to hike or drive to the next loop. You would think that each loop would at least have a outhouse! The restroom that we hiked to was very nice. The view is nice from the park. Lots of different cactus growing in the park. Some of the cactus are over 200 years old.
  • The beauty of the mountains and wide open desert is breathtaking. You can view from your car, go for a hike, mountain bike. Better to go in the cooler months, so you can fully enjoy it. Nice to make an entire day of it and continue to Canyon lake too, which isn't that far from there.
  • We love this campground! Nice and peaceful. You feel like you're far away from civilization, but it's a fairly short drive from our house in South Chandler. We got a premium site that has electric and water and it was $30 a night. So worth it to have this view of the Superstition mountains right outside your tent! You can also walk to any of the trails easily. Facilities are kept clean too.
  • Great place for camping and hiking. The camping spaces were partially paved and there was very little wood or sticks to burn as the rangers routinely clean the area, so we had to go buy firewood from the grocery store. The space for the tents was very nicely laid out. We booked our camping space and paid online so it was ready with our name when we got there. They have a very nice bathroom with warm water and showers and it was well lit. The camping space had a bbq and fire pit but the way they put the cement it was difficult to sit around the fire. The other campers had children that were extremely loud and the rangers did nothing to intervene. We only came to this location because we were trying out our new equipment and wanted to stay close to home. I would come here again if I had elderly people or young children and didn't want to hard core camp.
  • Excellent camping at this beautifully well maintained state park!! We stayed in a 40' motorhome with additional towing unit. Showers were HOT and spotless!! Entrance employees were very friendly and informative!! Verizon service excellent!
