Anniston Museum of Natural History Reviews
Let me start by saying I am not all that interested in natural history or museums devoted to them. I have a friend with whom I travel who likes them, which is how I end up visiting. That being said, I... more »

This is a nice museum with decent exhibits and an appropriate size for me to complete all its exhibition in a little over half a day. I like when my ticket gets fully paid off by visiting all I want to see in a museum. Great museum in the county.
An absolute gem. Not as big as the museum's you'd see in the big cities. But the presentation was spot on (probably better than many major natural history museums.). They have a fantastic taxidermed collection -- displayed perfectly. If you love nature and you are anywhere nearby, definitely stop in.
This place has an astonishingly hefty collection for such a random place in Alabama. Especially the taxidermized bird and gun collections, among many other great exhibits. Plus they have a live bird trail, a beautiful garden area and eventual arboretum that is to open. I spent many fun weekends here and loved every second of it. Highly recommend it!
It's a great experience for all ages I appreciated it more as an adult than I did as a kid. Great for the whole family! Don't forget the area outside of the meseum lots of little places to explore!
I loved this museum. My family and I drove from Birmingham and I found it well worth the visit. Our favorite part we're the dinosaurs, however, the bird exhibit is quite impressive.
