Where to stay in Annapolis

Annapolis's historical downtown area draws the city's tourists, so there's plenty of choice of accommodations here. Small inns and charming bed and breakfasts represent most of the options in this part of town, with a couple even offering views of Annapolis Harbor. If everything here is booked, try the collection of national-chain hotels to the west of downtown, although access to the city's attractions isn't as convenient. Try to reserve in advance if you plan to visit during a summer weekend.

  • It's a beautiful place, and across from it you can see the navy academy from across the water. The area is so peaceful.
  • Beautiful memorial honoring the Marylanders who lost their lives in WWII and how Maryland contributed to the war efforts. The memorial is below the grand staircase, which is all that you can see from the parking lot, so be sure to walk around back.
  • Nice WWII memorial honoring the sacrifices made by soldiers from the then 48 states.
  • A beautiful spot! The memorial itself is very well done and kept. The entrance and parking lot are a bit rough around the edges though. Also, this is a great place to watch the sun set.
  • Nice memorial, with great views of the academy. Unfortunately, it has a lot of road noise, and very little parking.
