  • Great hands on museum for kids to go to and adults alike. Worth every cent of the $6 suggested donation for admission. Their permanent exhibits include a evolution floor with tones of bones of extinct, prehistoric and contemporary animal species (including dinosaurs, mastodons and dolphins). Another floor dedicated to Michigan animals, another to anthropology and archaeology - where their temporary exhibits and planetarium are also located. The Sunday I was there they offered Dinosaur tours and had tons of additional temporary activity tables for the kids to interact with; one had jaw bones of various animals for them to touch and learn about, another had a demonstration about cockroaches, etc.
  • I love the museum of natural history, or "the dinosaur museum." It's amazing for anyone curious about biology, paleontology, astronomy, geology, history, and more. It's hard to review a place that is formative to your view of the world? Suffice to say, at any age I have felt joy entering the beautiful old entrance hall and walking up the stone stairs to the museum. I could spend hours among the exhibits, new and old, and always learn something new.
  • It's a pretty good experience considering it's free. The exhibits don't actually move with the exception of one traveling exhibit on the top floor, so I wouldn't want to come often; however, it's a great place to spend a few hours with your kid, friend, or significant other. It was super hot when we went, so don't expect the most comfortable air.
  • Old, beautiful building holding an extraordinary compact collection of items from all ages. Most of the exhibitions are "old fashion" yet really rich in content. The venue is a little bit hot during the summer but a must check spot during the winter. Great for kids, even small ones will find entertainment by touching all kind of bones and reproductions. The museum store carries also interesting books and merchandise. A big remodeling is coming for 2018 so I can't wait to see all this stuff in the new building.
  • A good place to spend the day with your child or to just get some knowledge about our past I recommend it greatly along with the stargazing exhibit
