Unassuming location (tucked away in Andover), but a really nice gallery with a solid regular collection and a much larger than expected exhibition collection. That it's free helped--especially bringing young children for a few hours.
I would say this is a nice place, but their security guys treated me so bad --just because I was the only young man around-- that I would never come back. That is one reason why young people never care about art in our towns. No one wants to go to a place where everyone sees you as a criminal. Also, be clear about your photography policy. On your website shows that people are allowed to take cellphone pictures while your security guys told me not to do it.
Beautiful museum with rotation collections.
Nice collection for a small museum
Amazing place. A real hidden gem. Great American art from a variety of artists. Winslow Homer to Lorna Simpson. Free to the public. You won't be disappointed
