  • As waterfalls go this is nice. Watch out for the dog poop on the trail though. We went on out first full day of our trip and later discovered there are much better waterfalls that are easier to see.  more »

  • About a two mile round trip that I would rate moderately difficult due to some steep grades and they may be slippery with the rain. Views from steep cliffs, waterfall is pretty, and the typical Alaskan vegetation adds to the experience. On this busy trail it's unlikely you'll encounter bears. Not many moose in that area from my experience. Still, pack a gun and/or bear spray. Also there's a parking fee of $5, don't forget to get your yearly pass if you plan on checking out at least 10 places with fees this year. Park pass is $50.
  • This is a easy and family friendly trail which culminates at a waterfall about 1.5 miles down-trail. Set aside about 3 hours or more and and enjoy a tiny taste of what Alaska has to offer.
  • Great short hike. Fun for all to be had. Just be sure that you bring bug spray in the summer and ice cleats in the winter!
  • Great place for a hike. I guess. Great place for harvesting mushrooms if you're into that. Assuming there's no Alaskan mushroom-harvesting laws I don't know about. Beautiful scenery. Don't take your kids if they aren't comfortable going potty outdoors!
  • Relatively easy hike, beautiful scenery. The falls at the end are great. I took my young kids and they enjoyed it too.
