Juls was a wonderful guide and we really enjoyed the tour. She explained the history of anchorage and Alaska on the way and showed us around.

Driver was enthusiastic, but this was definitely Not the tour that I signed up and paid for! I expected what the PicTours website description stated: "See scenic backdrops, snow capped mountains, waterfalls, and topaz-blue glaciers. We make stops at the best sites for the day. Just relax and soak up beauty during this award-winning excursion." Out of the total five hours, we spent one hour driving down to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - which is a wonderful place with a great mission, but basically a zoo - and then we spent over two hours there! Out of the seven people in our group, four of us felt this was Much too long especially since it was not mentioned in the tour description at all. The return trip was better even though we had little time to take photos on the turn point road discussed on the advertising on the Alaska channel. The weather became worse during our time at the zoo, so most views were too cloudy by the time we got there. Driver tried to help with some extra stops off the highway on way back. The time at the zoo Really needs to be shortened, or at the very least Inform people that 2 hours out of the five will be at a zoo - albeit a unique and altruistic animal rescue and conservation project.
Highly recommend a Winter wildlife tour! Our guide, Alek, was so fun and informative. Got us great pictures and saw some unforgettable Alaskan nature.
We took their Wild life tour with Portege Glacier. Holly our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She made our trip truly enjoyable
What a great experience. The tour was simply amazing. Seeing the Glacier and bears up close and personal - wow factor. Tour guides were amazing. Great picture tips they will give you. Amazing stories they do have about Alaska
I had a great time and made friends with the people on the trip. As a solo traveler this was a total highlight and great for getting out of the city for a day.
