  • Arctic Valley is a great place to walk your dog, take in some great views, and pick berries come August! For a less intense hike (compared to those like Flat Top) but one that will still get your hear...  more »

  • the best view of the city without having to take a plane. It can be in a short time by car from anywhere in the city. Go warm as it makes between 5 and 8 degrees less than in the city and there is enough wind. Is possible to see animals wild.

  • This listing is incorrect. The name of the park at this location is Resolution Park (click on the Photo with the picture of the statue for the correct review). Resolution is a pleasant adult park with a lovely view. The park listed, Valley of the Moon Park, is shown by the second photo (the photo with the rocket ship play structure). This was always one of my favorite parks growing up and it's great for kids. There's a good sized field for kickball/softball/baseball next to it and plenty of open field next to the rocket ship if you want to frisbee etc. You can find it's location by clicking on the rocket photo, or you can follow my directions given below. Take E St south until it turns west into 17th. Just before it turns south into Arctic, you'll see the park on your left. You can see it easily using Satellite view if you trace to the location described.
  • Valley of the Moon Park is not located at Third and L. It looks like this address locates the Captain Cook Memorial in downtown Anchorage. Valley of the Moon Park is at Arctic and West 17th.
