  • Still fun after over 50 years of riding the ride. COVID means fewer riders on the boats. Politically correctness is humorous, girls are no longer being chased, food rather than sex, just minor...

  • Pirates of the Caribbean should be ridden by everyone visiting Disneyland. Ride is now old but they periodically update it (latest changes is adding Captain Jack Skelly). Ride is fun for all...

  • A great ride at Disneyland and something the kids can enjoy. Pirates of the Caribbean is a popular ride at Disneyland and when you ride it yourself, you'll see why. When the ride first start off, you'll see the Blue Bayou restaurant there and occasionally people might be waving at you. Throughout the ride, you'll see some nice things and Jack Sparrow but not the real Johnny Deep unless it was a special occasion. You might get wet on this ride but nothing like Splash Mountain. If you're going to take pictures, I would just say turn off the flash for common courtesy and lower your phone brightness so it doesn't distract the other riders. It's a dark setting ride so just be respectful.
  • The classic ride. Always a line but it moves fast. Mostly still the original ride with a few additions to bring in the film franchise. You'll get a little wet, mostly your butt so don't sit on your shirt. The ride wraps around the restaurant that is decent. There is a slight drop in the ride but anybody can handle it... very smooth. Kid friendly, just a fun time. Any culturally awkward bits have been massaged over in years past. A nice cool ride for the hot part of the day.
  • This is my favorite thing at the Magic Kingdom after the firework show at the castle. Fireworks are the best. Pirates is so much fun. Ride it twice. Look for Black Jack Sparrow. Buy an eyepatch and talk like a pirate afterwards.
  • First off, I would like to say, this is one of the most nostalgic rides at Disneyland. The smell smells like musty dirt and water, which is one of the best parts. The drop is mid, but the part after the drop is above mid. After the "drop", you may get a bit wet, but it's mostly on your butt. 5 star ride, would go on it all day. "Do you believe in cursed treasure? This be the last friendly words ye ever hear. Properly warned ye be, says I."
  • Such a fun ride! Mellow enough for little ones. There was a family sitting in front of us who were holding their 6 month old baby. I've ridden it many times and our 9 year old loves it.
