  • Loved driving through the park enjoying different views and lots of photo ops. Visited on a beautiful summer weekday and we were fortunate there were very few people.

  • Washington Park has a wealth of things to do in any weather. You can walk around the park on the two-mile road or you can take any of the many trails. If you want to drive, there are many places to stop along the way to see the view. There is a boat launch, camping, and picnic areas. This is a very well-maintained park and a real asset for Anacortes.
  • I’ve been coming here since I was 1, and it hasn’t lost any of its luster. There is something for everyone: trails, beach (sand and rock), playground, lookout view points off Loop Road, camping sites, a boat launch, bbq areas (covered), and amazing views in all directions. Day use is free, and there is a charge for camping. My pro tip is to park a the head of the Loop Road, and walk it around. There are many little paths down to the water from the road.
  • Love this place! We stayed for 3 nights while our ferry to Alaska was delayed. We had quite a bit of snow one night but they were very quick to remove it and make the road safe.
  • Washington Park is one of the finest hidden gems in the San Juan islands. It's a wonderful easy walk, with plenty of secret delights and lots of views of the waters around it. Even the campground being there does not detract from the area, as the campground is not even on the main road (it's secreted away up in the middle). There are good beaches here to take kids, and picnic tables down by the boat launch. Whenever I'm in Anacortes, I try to make time to visit this park.
  • Beautiful park and loop that allows driving and hiking. Great views. Access to a gravel beach. Picnic areas.
