  • This is a decent swimming area. The pond is pretty small and kinda murky. For the area, it's not a bad place to go. However, there are much better places to swim up north in Vermont.
  • Puffers could be much better but it is what it is; the only true pond in Amherst. The views are beautiful, the trails are great for hiking and the water does it's job on a hot summer day. Tradition includes swimming across Puffers, jumping off the rocks (which is not allowed) and watching the waterfall. Huge pro: FLOATATION DEVICES ARE ALLOWED Fishing is allowed; no picnic tables or grills available. Cons: students take over sometimes and act inappropriate; smoke/drink/play uncensored music while families try to hang with kids; people bringing dogs to the main beach and allowing them to run around when dogs are not allowed, dirty "sand" and smokers on the beach. Also no true bathroom just disgusting portapotty.
  • Beautiful place in the summer to go swim and jump from the ledges(plenty of signs up tell you not to). There are two beaches, one being the larger and not pet friendly. The second beach on the north side is pet friendly with a large field.
  • Beautiful place, but people there were drinking and there was a lot of trash on the ground. Lots of cigarette butts also.
  • Nice area, clean water, sand beach and lots of space. Would come again!
