  • They'll show you a video that summarizes the history of the place, and it's a good one, very informative. The shop itself seems too small to have made as many boats as it apparently has (at one time)....  more »

  • The boats built at LBS are truly pieces of functional art. The best party is you can stop in and watch the builder at work and ask questions about his craft. After you can take a tour and learn three history of the local wooden boat building industry. Tours are inexpensive and informative. This place is nothing liked your typical museum, it is much smaller and so much more personal.
