  • I knew for a while that this was the university that was right for me. Now that I am here, it's even more evident. Diverse and challenging courses, capable professors, many help and rec centers, food options, a beautiful campus, friendly and safe students and so much more.
  • I absolutely loved attending Iowa State! I graduated in 2013 and have enjoyed being a fresh alumn thus far. It became my home for a time, my educational institution, and my pride. If you're a high schooler considering coming to ISU, I strongly recommend a college visit and then this school for continuing your education! Enjoy your adventure at Iowa State!
  • If you're considering living in student housing please read this clause of the housing contract and read my letter to the university: "The University may alter a resident’s assignment to comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA), disciplinary reasons, catastrophe, renovation or closing of facility, consolidation of vacancies, unavailability of space, roommate incompatibility or any other reason determined by the University to be of benefit to the resident or University." Dear student housing, I've lived in your family housing unit since last August. Because of the stupidity of Ames apartment move-in/out times me, my 5 month old, my fiance and my 80lb dog had to find somewhere to live for two weeks as well as somewhere to keep all of our things. Since we've moved in I've loved the place! Open concept, wood floors, I even have a huge storage space and my own washer and drier in the basement! My neighbers are wonderful, and I love that we have access to the community center. Lately things have gone bad again. While trying to figure out how to resign our contract my fiance emailed the housing department and was told that the window to submit said contract was closed. Bear in mind, the email he received said we had until March 1st. Unbeknownst to us, even though we currently live here, March 1st was the cut off but from Febuary 8th on its a free for all first come first serve basis. This is information that we need. In conclusion, I would just like to know, why do you have a system that allows for people to become homeless?
  • I thought Iowa State University was a very good place to go to college. I graduated in 1995 with a BA in English Literature. Iowa State has a beautiful campus.
  • I just visited my friend proffesor here for two days. The atmosphere felt like it is a place where you cant do anything else but sit and learn. I believe it is one of good universities
