It’s a bit of a hike to the top along a paved trail. The trip is worth it not only for the caves but also for the amazing views at the top.
A steep hike up, but well worth it. Beautiful location with amazing caves. You have to buy tickets online before you go. Also plan on leaving early to make sure you hike up there on time. The path is steep but fully paved.
Of seven different national park sites visited in the West these last few weeks, including Sequoia and Dinosaur, Timpanogos was one of my favorites. Because of the frequent guided tours here, there are many rangers and they are almost all incredibly friendly! The facilities, trail, and cave itself are well maintained. The views up to the cave are beautiful and the features inside the cave are stunning. Bring some food and picnic at the tables across the street from the visitor center along a rushing creek.
The hike is a pretty easy, and very beautiful! The cave is a great family activity! The rangers are all nice and great to have as your guides through the cave. A great inexpensive activity for people of all ages.
Great path, very nice for a hike straight up a hill. Arrive early!! You can do this hike. If I can get to the top, you can. The cave is not worth the hike if you don't like caves. Very small spaces. Lots of stairs. Take a flashlight! Take lots of water! I had purchased the Federal Parks pass, America the Beautiful pass, knowing I was going, they don't take that pass at that Federal Park. Overall, great views, great History, great hike.
This is a good hike. We went here to hear musicians playing along the trail, which is something I have never done before. Highly recommend it. It's a somewhat strenuous hike, but it has a really nice view, and plenty of great places to take pictures.
