The hike was great, even though I have a bad knee. Takes about an hour to get up to the top. The tour guide was fun and informative. Keep your hands off the walls and respect God's natural beauty! Go ... more »
I've been going to this cave for about 45 years. It is up American Fork Canyon which is a great drive in and of itself. The hike up is semi strenous - but doable if you have the time. Amazing views. T... more »
We had a great time hiking The the cave on paved trail. The path used to be dirt and was a bit slippery. The trail has benches to rest on and you may need them if you're out of shape at all. The cave ... more »
Of seven different national park sites visited in the West these last few weeks, including Sequoia and Dinosaur, Timpanogos was one of my favorites. Because of the frequent guided tours here, there are many rangers and they are almost all incredibly friendly! The facilities, trail, and cave itself are well maintained. The views up to the cave are beautiful and the features inside the cave are stunning. Bring some food and picnic at the tables across the street from the visitor center along a rushing creek.
A steep hike up, but well worth it. Beautiful location with amazing caves. You have to buy tickets online before you go. Also plan on leaving early to make sure you hike up there on time. The path is steep but fully paved.
The hike is a pretty easy, and very beautiful! The cave is a great family activity! The rangers are all nice and great to have as your guides through the cave. A great inexpensive activity for people of all ages.
We hiked up to the cave. It was an experience well worth the effort. The guide was helpful and knowledgeable. Don't take a lot of gear up there. My backpack was a little hard to manage while I was in the cave.
This place has a very cool cave but the only downside is that it takes you forever to get up,but it is still worth seeing the cave. So I highly recommend putting this on your to do list.
