I went here for a child's birthday. What a great experience. Wonderful animal park. Great facilities. Highly recommended. Bring food and drink, hand sanitizer LOL
This place is probably best for younger kids, but still an enjoyable experience. We got to see all kinds of species of deer and other prey animals. You won't see any carnivores here. They sure do love... read more »
I went with my adult children to see the animals. I had been here about 25 years ago when it was new and fresh. It was an awesome experience then. Today, it just looked like they were barely able to c... read more »
I had never been here. Went to school in Alvin lived there too. Just worked so much I never got out. Took both my granddaughters here. OMGoodness they didn't want to leave. Nor did we adults. We had absolutely the best time. Not crowded like the zoo. The animals were up close. The girls fed the animals and pet some. Even rode the ponies. The food they give you for the cost was plenty to feed many animals and very worth the cost. As was the cost of admission. The grands are coming in this fall and we already have a return trip planned. Both my kids are military. Navy and Marine. They honored a military discount for them. Thank you for that too. Our service members appreciate this especially with young families. Awesome job you all do. Thank you so much.
I held my son's 4th birthday here. It was a HUGE hit. It is the kind of place where the kids along with their families were able to enjoy themselves, unlike MANY other child party places. It was also very affordable and the staff was beyond great. They were their with us before, during, and after setup to help with staying on schedule, which was greatly appreciated! I absolutely love this place!
Its a great place and for the peiple talking about tha camels missing hair you do know they shed there coat right? Im js its a great place for the kids we will be going back
This is my first time ever writing a review, but I really feel the need to after seeing the neglect at this poor zoo. Where is the SPCA when you need them?!! These poor animals a severely neglected. Malnourished!!! Filthy!!! There was a camel with what looked like alopecia, big blotches of fur/ hair missing. The ostriches feathers are wilthering away, if I didn't know any better I would believe they came from the BP OIL SPILL. I understand that it's supposed to be a natural habitat but even in Africa these animal have a place to clean themselves, here there aren't any. These animals are suffering. It's painful to see them this way :( #PrayForTheAnimalsAtBayouWildLifeZoo 🙏
My kids really enjoyed this place. Our guide on the safari ride was great. The petting area was a little much with a million flies around (but how do you avoid that in the heat of the sunner with pigs and goats everywhere). The safari ride was our favorite and my daughter enjoyed riding the pony and feeding the camel.
