We spent most of the time at the water park. Plenty of room to swim and play. No long wait lines for water slides. The water slides were so much fun as they had a good selection of unique slides. Floa...  more »

We have visited AL many times over years and generally enjoy the park. You get both the amusement & water park with your paid ticket, so it's hard to complain too much. Just a couple of things to be a...  more »

This is a great place to bring kids or enjoy a weekend away. Starting with the amusement park the rides were all enjoyable with a great selection to ride. They all could be rode multiples time if you could wait in line for a couple minutes each ride. The water park is a new addition and is very fun to relax at while dreaming of being at a real beach. This is a great place to bring a group of friends or the family along and enjoy the day. My only complaint is there are no water fountains to drink from so you are forced to buy over priced drinks and food in the park.

While everyone else focuses on the rides and attractions, I want to point out that the greatness of this park lies in its small details. The carnival games are unique and clever. Rides will often have strange characters and subtle jokes at the entrance. The park staff consists mostly of retired people who have nothing better to do than be helpful. Moreover, the food is delicious. The cookies and cream funnel cake is the perfect dessert for two people. A member of my group ate a meal of chicken strips and onion rings that had the rest of us drooling.

What a fun way to enjoy the summer in Iowa. Make sure you go ready to get wet, as the water park is part of the admission. The rides are outstanding for a small local amusement park. Special to note: The Monster, Dragon and Space Shot. Prices are very reasonable for a family (and if we lives closer, we would get season passes, as that is an amazing price.)

I've gone here since I was a little kid. I love this amusement park. My family and I love everything about the park and really enjoy ourselves. We went yesterday and can I say when we first got there we rode the train I had my baby and my 5 year old daughter while my husband had our 2 year old and the rest of our group paired up with each other. The worker walked past is the first time and was ok with my baby sitting on my lap. Next time he came around he got rude with me and said my baby had to sit in the seat and that it was only 2 to a sit. That meant I had to leave my 5 year old by herself until my brother came to sit with her. What ticks me off the most is the people in front of us had a baby about the same age as my baby and had three to a seat and he never said anything. Then we went to the underground about a half hour to an hour later and we had a group with us so we wanted to get on the ride together. So my husband asked if there was enough room for all of us and the worker looked at him and said very rudely just go. Seriously we paid good money to come here and not considering we drove all the way from cedar rapids Iowa to get here. I can say the day got way better and the rest of the staff was very friendly.

Adventure land is a great amusement park. Short lines, food is reasonable priced, workers are nice, and the rides are fun. It's small, but still really cool. I liked adventure land better than six flags by Chicago.
