  • We've hiked this trail for the second year running, with our kids (10 and 7 year old). We loved this trail. It is well sign posted and well traveled, with many other hikers in the area. The way to the top is at a sharp incline and the end requires some climbing on all fours. The view from the top of the mountain is breathtaking and is worth the effort.
  • You can stretch this relatively short hike into a longer workout by taking the Beaver Pond Trail up and Brook Trail down. If you're just getting into hiking this is a good warmup for Monadnock and the 4kers of New Hampshire. The views of Lake Winnipesaukee from the summit are beautiful. There is a decent parking lot at the bottom. On a popular day, the parking lot spills onto the sides of route 11.
  • Love the hike and view. Good starter mountain for kids about 6 and older
  • Fantastic view from the summit of the lake. Just under an hour hike on the blue trail and not too bad for a beginner.
  • Lovely place for a hike. Great views of the lake from top and lot of blueberries if you happen to be here in july/aug
