  • We'd heard this place was really interesting, I think based on reviews here. So we walked to it from the waterfront. Unfortunately a tour had just left, and they wouldn't let us join it, and there was...  more »

  • A tour of the museum was very interesting. We had a nice guide and after the tour we visited the gift shop and then we were free to walk around on our own. The view from the top is spectacular!  more »

  • Interesting location and did not even know that it was a museum also. There is a lot of history in there and artifacts that are quite enlightening. The grand hall is huge and they were working on a mural on one of the walls. There's also great views of Alexandria and across the water. (You can see MGM from here.)
  • Very nice museum. There your was very flexible allowing everyone sufficient time to see everything they wanted. Great views from the top. Well cared for grounds. The staff was excellent.
  • More Interesting Than I Expected! It's a beautiful well kept building, lots of interesting history and rooms to explore. The tour was, informative, casual and just enough time to see what you want. Not boring or to long like some can be. Not for small children, to many places to get into mischief. Lots of stairs on the outside, you can drive up to the top to avoid most of them. Anyone interested in history, mystery and little known facts will enjoy a visit here.
  • One of my favorite tours. Some Washington and early American artifacts you can't see anywhere else. Also interesting to see a different aspect of Washington's life.
  • This building is amazing both from inside and outside as well as the view from this place. The architectural and artistic details are so much detailed and rich that this building can easily compete with any museum in the city. Worth visiting.
