  • Fort Ward is a quality small historical area with plenty of green space and ideal for pet walking. Would suggest going early on weekends as it is well used by local walkers.

  • Sweet little museum. Good displays n knowledgeable staff. Love the reenactments in summer n the concerts on Thursdays. Very clean.
  • Found this little park in the middle of the city, not knowing it had so much history. Took a wal around the fort and the canons were in amazing shape. Then I saw the history and how black slaves came here to fight for their freedom. It has a old cemetery , that they ask you to respect.
  • Wonderful park to take the kids. There is a play ground, plus the historical stuff.
  • Awesome place to jog with plenty of room to run and see historic war artifacts, not to mention the many Pok├ęstops!
  • Very nice little museum. The grounds are also in great shape. Will definitely consider returning to walk the paths and/or cookout.
