  • Best state beach on Lake Champlain as far as i am concerned. I have been coming here for years, by car and now by boat and I must say, even though it is small, the beach and water quality (avoid...  more »
  • Online says beach is open, state website says water quality is good and open. Get there and it's swim at your own risk due to a dangerous algae bloom. NO WHERE is it updated online to reflect this...  more »
  • Visiting mid-week we found a quiet, clean beach. The large parking area gave us the idea that this would have been a very different experience on the weekend, although it seems the park staff...  more »

  • This is really nice beach. No seaweed to walk through to get out to an area over your head! Not a lot of grills to use, but they do have some. The beach was clean and you really have a lot of area of beach line to spread out from other people. The water was clear and no sign of blue algae or other gross things floating in the water. My family and I really, really enjoyed ourselves. Great for those kids 5 and under. People of all ages were there and people really seemed to respect the social distancing. It is a bit far distance wise, but it was worth the trip!!! The surrounding area was pleasant and views beautiful. So glad we tried a new beach area. This one was a pleasant surprise! Yes, I recommend it reluctantly, because I hope it doesn't become too popular and over crowded so my family and I can still go there as one of our family favorite spots in Vermont.
  • Went here 5 out of 6 days we were in the area relaxing and great for an almost 3 year old. Water, the trail that parallels the beach, and the small playground gave sufficient variety and the facilities we well kept. No worries about a crowd, even on a sunny Sunday.
  • A little slice of heaven. I thought it is a unknown beach for the Islands. Plenty of shade, beach and potties. They are port a lots. The water at that time was pretty good. Lots of families. My husband remembers this as Palmer's beach. Brought our senior State Passes to get in for no charge. They came around and picked up 'stuff' people had left that blew around.
  • Clean, quiet, interesting little place.
  • $12 for 2 adults and 2 children It's an amazing place to swim for people with small children or that can't swim themselves The water is shallow and warm for a good couple hundred feet out and where the boat buoys are it's only about 5ft deep It's a great sandy beach with plenty of grills Many people bring their boards and kayaks and just paddle Excellent place to spend a day
