  • This was a last minute decision on a trip from Roswell to Santa Fe, and well worth the detour. The drive up 165 was bumpy but had several spectacular views. Make sure your vehicle is worthy of the jou...  more »
  • The Cibola National Forest is literally at the edge of the city. You can take a bus or drive to the edge of town and hike from the desert into forested mountains. On hot days, the coolness of 10,000 f...  more »
  • The majority of the trails are very easy. If you go to the peak, there are great views of the city. It's pine woods, and smells wonderful. Most trails would be difficult on a bike, but if you're in tr...  more »

  • This is a beautiful park with many amazing vista's and expansive views unique to the southwest. The park offers numerous hiking trails and areas to explore. The peak offers a shop and area to relax and have a snack. On the southern end you have the tramway which offers another way to the top of this amazing mountain with trails that take you along the top with outstanding views of Albuquerque below.
  • The most beautiful views of nature you'll ever find the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city cell phones computers and road rage. The family likes to just go out there and just talk Grill some food find a nice beautiful spot and relax that's the best part of it you can actually relax and in this day in age that is a rarity and it's worth traveling for. I would give Cibolo National Forest 10 Stars if I could but kind of seems like you're writing a business and this is just nature at its finest if you're from New Mexico get out there if you're not from New Mexico get on down here beautiful.
  • Beautiful trails! Not marked very well in certain areas so as a newbie to the area I didn't know which way to go when I came to a spot with different branch offs. Other than that, it was great hiking!
  • From Texas visiting my sister. Still lots of snow higher up but plenty of good hiking on the lower trails. Absolutely loved it! Trailsheads were clearly marked and the trails well maintained.
  • Roads could be better maintained. Overnight pitch a tent kinda place with restrooms No food or drinks as far as the eye can see so pack it in and out is best. Been rather dry lately so observe fire safety.
