Went there based on review and we are glad we did. The place is located in residential area but when you take a look at the properties around it, it's not so out of place. The wines there are very nic... read more »
This. This is one of those places that have you feeling like you stepped through a time portal and ended up in some other part of the country (or world for that matter). Driving up, you can literally ... read more »
The appearance is amazing and the buildings are beautiful. However the vines at this location only make up 2 % of the actual grapes used in making their wines. If you want to see the actual vines you ... read more »
We went to a wedding here last week the venue was beautiful. But the customer service sucked the owners/wedding planners were not very coordinated. After numerous meetings with them plans and their ideas of what was the grooms and brides vision was always changing. For the money you pay one should receive exactly what was settled on, on the first meet. 1) during rehearsal and some set up, they allowed the public to occupy the space which gave no privacy and no room to set decorations up for the wedding. 2) Before the wedding total strangers were escorted around the area where food, and wedding parties were to be getting ready so they can sell the memberships (very disrespectful for an intimate moment with family and friends. 3) Public again was able to view wedding as though they were apart of the affair. 4) They made it so hard for those to get to the venue despite age, disabilities etc.because even with a shuttle guest still had to walk a distance, which was very unprofessional on the owners behalf and unaccommodating. 5) when cleaning up, the bride and groom paid extra for the cleaning service and family ended up paying cleaning while owners over looked everything and directing us as if we were paid staff. 6) As for the paid staff very nice and helpful but when owners would intervene the situation would become hectic. My advise to all who chose to use this venue know what you want, and be wise, do not expect for it to go smooth and make sure you have supportive family and friends that also know your vision so they can help execute the wedding of your dreams. Good Luck!!!! Best Wishes!!!!
John Calvin, Renaissance Man. From his architectural designs for the buildings, to his musical talents, to truly fabulous wine ( my favorite, the Cab Franc) and right down to the tower bell he special ordered for his wife, all is impeccable artistry. I ordered a case of wine as soon as I returned home from my visit to Albuquerque, I missed it so much. A must visit for wine tasting if you go to Albuquerque!
Have spent so much money here... totally worth it! Such a great place to sit back and share a bottle with family and friends. Not cheap, but a very unique and convenient place to get to away so what do you expect. John and Dave put on some really fun events. worth keeping tabs on.
We really enjoyed our visit to Casa Rondena Winery during our visit in Albuquerque. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the venue is charming, the wine was just what we hoped for. We spent our time sitting outdoors under the Arbor, taking advantage of the lovely evening.
Very lovely setting. Free wine tours offered. Very decent wines. Knowledgable folks running the tasting. Only reason there is not a 5 star rating: They charge $10 for a tasting.
